Certain personal information are required in order to use the Budify Platform. This includes your legal name, e-mail address, phone number, nationality, date of birth, and profile photo. This also includes images of your government issued ID or passport, number of ID or passport, and bank or payment account information.

You may select to provide us with additional personal information, in order to improve your experience on Budify. This may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Profile information such as gender (sex), personal description, language, and preferences. Some of this information may be publicly visible, if illustrated on your profile page. Other information may be collected when you answer forms, add account information, post to communities, participate in events, communicate with Budify or Budify users, or write reviews. If you add contact information or health conditions, the according information will also be automatically provided to Budify.

As you use Budify and its Payment Services, Budify may automatically collect personal information. Such information will be used mostly to enhance your experience on Budify’s platform, and may include, but are not limited to the following:.

• Location based on your IP address or GPS according to your device settings. If you decide to enable location information collection on your device, we may collect such information when you’re not directly using Budify services as well.
• Usage patterns and data, such as the contents you search for, view, and purchase, along with other actions you make while using Budify.
• Log data and device information, such as how you use the Budify Platform, IP address, hardware and software details, device information, device event information, crash and cookie data, unique identifiers, access dates and times, and pages you interact with prior to or after using Budify. Such information may be collected even when you don’t have a Budify account or choose to log in.
• Cookies and relevant technologies.
• Payment and transaction information, such as payment method used, date and time, amount, expiration date, billing postcode, payment email address, IBAN information, address, and other transaction information.

We may collect your personal information from third party sources, such as:

• Third Party Services. If you connect with or log into Budify with a third party service, such as Google, Kakao, or Facebook, you are directing the service to send Budify your relevant information. This may include your registration, friends and contact list, and profile information controlled by such such service, or as permitted by you through your privacy settings at that according service.
• Background Information. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, and depending on your nationality and/or location, we may receive reports from public records of criminal records or sex offender registrations. We may utilise information such as your legal name and date of birth to receive such background information.
• Enterprise Product Invitations and Account Management. Organizations and firms that utilise Budify’s enterprise products and services may submit personal information for enhancement of Budify usage.
• Co-travelers. If someone invites you to use Budify as a co-traveler, the inviter may submit your personal information on behalf of you, such as name, email address, contact information, and other relevant or necessary data.
• Other Sources. Depending on the applicable laws and its permissions, Budify may receive additional information about you, such as demographic data or information and references in order to help detect safety issues and fraud from third party service providers and partners, and collaborate or combine information we have about you. This may include backgrounds checks, fraud warnings, and health information from other parties.

Budify uses the information we collect in order to:

• Provide you with access and usage of the Budify Platform, such as making and receiving payments, communicating with other members, and accessing various contents or information.
• Provide you with customer service, security alerts, information, and notifications.
• Provide you with customised information and products based on your past data and information.
• Provide you with other additional Budify products, functions, and services.
• Perform research, analysis, analytics, debug, and strategy development.
• Facilitate invitations, sharing of Budify experiences, and fraud detection and prevention.

Budify uses the information we collect in order to:

• Detect and prevent criminal action, fraud, spam, abuse, accidents, and harms
• Prevent discrimination.
• Comply with legal obligations to protect the safety and health of our related individuals or institutions.
• Resolve disputes and issues related to Budify.
• Execute security investigations and risk assessments.
• Verify information collected.
• Respond to security and legal requests, and protect Budify and our users.
• Enforce Budify’s agreements, obligations, terms, and policies.
• Conduct background and police checks related to other databases and sources, and prevent harmful threats posed on Budify and its users.

Budify uses the information we collect to:

• Provide you with customised information, promotions, advertizing, and other marketing programs based on your preference data.
• Personalize, analyze, and enhance Budify’s internal and/or external marketing efforts.
• Conduct better social media advertising and performance marketing on external platforms.
• Invite you to events and programs you may be interested in.
• Enhance and conduct rewards, coupons, surveys, contests, referral programs.

Budify uses the information we collect to:

• Provide and enhance Budify’s payment services.
• Enforce payment terms and policies.
• Comply with legal obligations, and prevent illegal payment actions.
• Conduct security investigations and risk assessments.

When you approve a third-party platform to access your Budify account or information, or participate in marketing activities from third-party platforms, Budify will share your information according to the level of your consent and authorization.

When allowed in accordance to applicable laws, Budify may use your information in anonymous forms, for the purpose of marketing, promotion, and social media platforms.

Budify may share your information to facilitate and enable reservations, transactions, and interactions:

• When a reservation or a dispute is submitted, information such as your profile, name, names of additional participants, cancellation history, dispute history, review information, age, and other data may be shared. When the reservation is confirmed, additional information that may help facilitate the experience, such as your contact information, phone number, profile photo, or health condition may be shared.
• When you submit additional information at your own consent during a specific reservation, such as religion, gender, and health conditions, they will automatically be shared to your Buddy.
• When you as a Buddy confirms a reservation, information such as your profile, legal name, phone number, photo, address, and contact information may be shared to the Guests.
• When you as a Guest invite additional Guests to a reservation, your legal name, travel schedule, Buddy name, Buddy information, experience address and details may be shared to the additional Guests.

You can make certain information visible to the public, which may also be visible through third-party search engines and platforms.

• Your public profile page, including your name, profile photo, description, and location.
• Your experience page, including your profile, photo, experience description and location, reservation availability, demand information, and other additional information.
• Your reviews and ratings, including the contents and media you post.
• Posts and comments in the Budify community, blog, and social media.

Budify may submit your information to legal courts, law enforcement, government authorities, tax authorities, or authorised third parties, when Budify is legally required and permitted to do so, or when it is reasonably necessary to do so:

• Comply with Budify’s legal obligations.
• Comply with legal requests or claims asserted against Budify.
• Respond to a legal request related to criminal or illegal investigation.
• Prevent the creation of legal or regulatory liabilities of Budify users, partners, and the firm itself.
• Enforce terms, regulations, agreements, and transactions within Budify.
• Protect the rights, property, safety, and well-being of Budify and its related parties.

Budify may notify users regarding relevant legal requests unless providing notice is legally prohibited, or is highly likely to cause harm or inefficiency to Budify, the legal process, and its relevant parties. In cases where Budify facilitates tax collection and payment and are legally required or permitted, Budify may disclose user information on transaction dates and amounts, reservations, tax payments and information, legal names, addresses, tax identification numbers, and contact information to the according tax authorities. Budify may also provide other relevant and required information when Budify is obliged and permitted to submit your information to other legal, government, and public authorities.

If a reservation is made by an institution, such as a school, center, government, or enterprise, Budify may provide additional personal information of the Buddy to the customer and its partners.

If a reservation is made by an institution, such as a school, center, government, or enterprise, additional personal information of the individual participants may be collected and disclosed to the Buddy hosting the experience, in order to facilitate the event.

Budify may disclose your personal information to our service providers in order to verify your identification documents, review information with public databases, conduct security reviews, execute product and service development and provision, perform marketing and promotion, receive legal support and advice, receive business consulting, provide customer services, manage insurance and risk, and facilitate social responsibility activities. Such providers are obliged to protect your personal information and only utilise them for relevant purposes.

When Budify is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency situation, your information may be sold, transferred, disclosed, or shared to relevant parties. Budify will notify you prior to the transfer in such cases.

Your personal information will be automatically shared with 버디파이(Budify) located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, regardless of your transaction or travel location, in order to manage, organize, execute, and improve services. Your information may also be shared with Budify’s investors and other relevant subordinates associated with Budify.

Budify may review, analyze, and track your actions and communications on Budify, for purposes related to “3. How Budify Uses the Information Collected.” Methods will be both automatic and manual, based on the specific situation. The analysis and tracking of your actions and communications will not be for irrelevant purposes illustrated on Section 3 of the Privacy Policy.

You can link your Budify account with certain third-party services such as social networks. Your contacts on such third-party services are referred to as “Friends.”

• Certain information provided to Budify through linking accounts can be visible on your public profile.
• Your activities on Budify may be displayed to your Friends on Budify and/or the according third-party account.
• A link to your third-party profile may be published on your Budify public profile, and other users on Budify may see the existence of mutual Friends, schools, hometowns, or groups based on your profile status on the according third-party account.
• Information gathered through linking accounts may be saved, analyzed, and utilised for risk assessment and fraud prevention.
• Other forms of publication, sharing, and display of the information provided through linking accounts are subject to your personal settings and authorisations on Budify and the third-party service.

When parts of Budify are linked to third-party services, including map or payment services, usage of such services are subject to the privacy policies of each service provider. Budify may not be responsible for the information you provide to such third-party partners.

You are able to access and modify certain personal information through Budify’s account and profile settings. Unlinking from third-party services or deleting your Budify account itself can also be done in your account settings.

In certain jurisdictions, you may be legally entitled to request certain copies of your personal information, the methods on how Budify manages your information, or the information you have provided to Budify, in a commonly used and clear format, when possible and reasonable.

You may request to delete your data provided to Budify by deleting your account. When you request to delete certain personal data on Budify, please be noticed that:

• Budify may maintain certain information if considered necessary for business, safety, and legal purposes or obligations.
• Information publicly shared by you on reviews or communities may be kept visible on Budify, but will be disassociated from personal identifiers or profiles. Certain copies of your information may remain on Budify’s database, but will also be disassociated from personal identifiers.
• Due to Budify’s efforts to prevent accidental data loss, residual copies of your personal information may not be removed on Budify’s backup data bases for a limited period of time.
• However, when you decide to delete your Budify account, Budify will fully attempt to delete all personally associated data and information on our platform.
